Guia Aerea

This document is essential for air shipments, as that is the one that gives the ownership of the merchandise. It is issued by the airline company, or in his absence, by his or her representative or freight forwarder (agent of loads). It is the equivalent of the bill of lading for loads at sea.

The fundamental data contained in this document are:

  • Shipper or exporter.
  • Name of the recipient.
  • Flight number and destination.
  • Airport of arrival and departure.
  • Details of the load: weight, volume, amount, rate, and description.
  • Indication that if the freight is payable at origin or at destination.
  • Freight amount.
  • Air waybill number.
  • Date of issue.

Usually, when you send the cargo by air, and when issued the corresponding guide that covers, along with her travel documents of shipment that originate from the reason of the same, for example: commercial invoice, certificate of origin, packing list etc
These are delivered to the importer in the country of destination together with the air waybill original.
